Electronic Dehydrator ED 6

The ED 6 electronic dehydrator with its 6 large stainless steel drying surfaces, each measuring 37 x 30cm, is ideal for drying large quantities. The temperature (35 - 90°C) and time (1 - 24 hours) can be easily set using the electronic control. Also included is a herb mat for drying aromatic herbs.

Drying is one of the oldest methods of preservation and was already used centuries ago to preserve food for a long period of time with the help of sunlight. Today, we can use this preservation method all year round, regardless of the weather. Furthermore, in addition to the pure preservation, new possibilities of use are in the foreground and open up new diverse scope in your kitchen. Vitamins, minerals, important dietary fibres and iron are practically preserved and flavours are concentrated.

Practically everything from the home garden and forests can be dried:

There are also no limits to the imagination when it comes to using dried foods. Eaten directly as a snack in front of the TV, dried fruit or vegetables are not only delicious, but also free of artificial additives and sugar. In muesli, milkshakes or soups, dried fruit adds the necessary zing, while herbs and mushrooms can also be used ground as seasonings. Instead of non-dried food, dried fruit can be used in dishes to enhance them. Poured over hot water, dried herbs or apple peels provide the perfect basis for delicious tea.
